There is just the one by-election this week but we'll still have a LiveBlog going on Thursday night. There are currently 17 vacancies without a date set so this autumn is set to be quite busy!
Are you absolutely sure about the Newcastle-under-Lyme vacancy? I'm in next-door Stoke-on-Trent, and our local newspaper website has nothing about Christian Barber (the only Conservative in the Ward) resigning, neither does the Council website itself. A Google search produces nothing either, just two previous Newcastle Councillors who resigned through non-attendance and "ethics" issues in 2009.

ReplyDeleteThere are new vacancies for Conservative seats in Bromley LBC Shortlands ward and Kensington/Chelsea LBC Norland ward both resignations .
